September 2020 - Kane and Abel

Well, I don’t know about all of you, but I had a hard time getting into last month’s book! Daniel DeSilva is a best-selling author and I thought the places that the book took place, along with the intrigue,  would make for a wonderful read. I found that there were so many different characters at the beginning, with so many back stories, that it was difficult to get into. But, it was worth being patient, as the book picked up and it was ultimately worth the effort.

This month I am choosing an older book, Kane and Abel, by one of my favorite authors, Jeffrey Archer. This also happens to be a long time favorite book of mine. I hope you all like it as much as I did!

Two strangers born worlds apart

William Lowell Kane and Abel Rosnovski, one the son of a Boston millionaire, the other a penniless Polish immigrant―born on the same day near the turn of the century on opposite sides of the world―are brought together by fate and the quest of a dream.

One destiny that would define them both

Two men―ambitious, powerful, ruthless―are locked in a relentless struggle to build an empire, fueled by their all-consuming hatred. Over sixty years and three generations, through war, marriage, fortune, and disaster, Kane and Abel battle for the success and triumph that only one man can have.
